What does it mean to be true to yourself? A question that many of ask and a question that many of us may don’t know the answer. Is it really that hard to be true to yourself? And what does it really mean?

Being true to yourself, means you are completely honest with what you feel, deeply value, and desire. It also means communicating your feelings wholeheartedly both with yourself and others, allowing your truth to flow through you and into the world. To be true to yourself means to act in accordance with who you are and what you believe.

For me being true is not lying to yourself so you will not be fake and accepting what you really are.If you know yourself you will find it effortless to be true to yourself.

But why others seem to be bothered by their real self and end up changing their own self. They change to what they want and change to meet the expectations of others. But is this right?  As difficult as it may seem at first, have the courage to accept yourself as you really are, not as as someone else thinks you should be. Do not take action or pretend to be someone else for the sake of gaining acceptance. Give yourself permission to be your true self. Being true to yourself is what your heart and soul yearn for.

Live your truth. “One life is all we have and we live it as we believe in living it.
But to sacrifice what you are and to live without belief,
that is a fate more terrible than dying.”
